O.k. isn't this super cute?  I had fun creating this at a recent Connect and Create over Coffee at Ragamuffin's this past Monday.  The kit, my kids vied to create.  I held off.. I knew I wanted to create it for their Halloween hand-out to their classmates this month.  You can see why!  Uber cute!!
PERFECT for my sense of humor.. the stamp set that is included in the September's kit is perfect for all of Fall!  A fun variety.. we will be using this for our Reformation Day cards we will hand out (with these) at our church's Trunk or Treat tomorrow.
An ARMY of cute bags.  With my youngest three to bring treats to their class parties and for their friends, we had to create over 100 (including our Trunk or Treat).  I ordered extra bags and the cool straws.  The stamp set, ink and more inspired an army of cute gifts - perfect for the season!
Schools do not allow candy these days.  Sigh with me here.. sigh.... I had fun getting creative with the fun treat we would hand out.  Popcorn is surprisingly healthy.  I usually make our BBQ popcorn with my husband's hand-crafted rub (this is a HUGE Hit at every one of our event!!).  This year I purchased some yummy pre-made butter flavored popcorn.  It was dairy and gluten free.. perfect for our allergies.

Yes, I am one of 'those' moms.. one who creates something cute to hand-out at each holiday.  My Nanna raised me to love holidays, bless others who may not have or celebrate and to share love through it with the world.  My son once asked me 'why' as he was getting 'too old'.  I explained that some kids don't get anything.. this is the highlight for some kids (and adults - ask the ladies in our school office, lol).  Join me in sending love into the world - one hand-crafted item at a time.  With My Paper Pumpkin, our Clubs (including a kid's Paper Pumpkin that meets at our home during our Stamper's 10 Club), fun card-making classes and more.  A hand-crafted thought is so special in this mass produced society.

Simple but elegant.  It is fun to create a hand-stamped card that while easy will deliver my gratitude.  Here the Six Sayings Hostess-Exclusive stamp set is so lovely.  Stamped with Crumb Cake ink pad on the Whisper White card stock.  Accented with this cute and a-'corny' piece of Into the Woods Designer Series Paper.  I love that this stamp set is discounted for all who host a Private Class with me or who Join My Team.
I adore the Into the Woods Wooden Elements.  They are so much fun to color in and make fit into my projects.  Genuine wood is a light weight but on-trend and stylish accent to my projects.
Here rubbing the wooden acorn pieces into the Crumb Cake ink pad (it needs to set and dry for a while).  The laser cut accents take on a multi-colored look while coordinating perfectly with this hand-stamped card.  Use the Glue Dots to secure them to the pretty card in a variety of ways.

Reformation Day cards

A dear friend of mine, with kids that are around the same ages of mine, is the daughter of a God fearing man.  We discussed the meaning of Halloween, how it can be dark and evil.  I know that we enjoy time at our church and host a Trunk for a Trunk or Treat game time.  She introduced me to the Reformation Day that lands on Oct. 31st.  Last year she ordered two stamp sets so that her kids and her could create cards to hand our for Halloween.  Here are the cards her boys, all three of them, created and will hand out on Saturday, Oct. 31st.

I think this is BEYOND cool!  Actually I'll have my kids create similar cards with information about Reformation Day inside to hand out at our Trunk or Treat.

You may love this - a friend did research as her father (a great man who loved The Lord) passed last Oct 31st.  He loved history and this was a great new family heritage from that loss.

 Happy Reformation Day Everyone!
● On October 31, 1517, Martin Luther nailed
his 95 Theses (or statements) on the door of Castle Church
in Wittenberg, Germany. This act triggered the movement in
world history known as the Reformation.
● The Reformation was the great rediscovery of the good news
of salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. At that time, the
Church had become corrupt and was teaching false doctrines like
Salvation through good works.
● Martin Luther also translated the Bible from Latin to
German so the common man could read the Bible himself.
● Acts 16:31 “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved…”
● Ephesians 2:8-9 “For by grace you
Have been saved through faith. And this is
not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not
a result of works, so that no one may boast!

It is so much fun to see how different uses for our awesome stamps, papers and more can create personalized gifts and memories.  This is a unique and new-to-me but old celebration.  How do YOU Celebrate Oct. 31st?  Leave me a comment and let me know.

Create some Fall with this simple leaf card.  I love the look of a water colored card.  Here the soft colors of the season is easy to create using the Aqua Painter.  Stamp these Vintage Leaves (I adore these leaves) on the Whisper White card stock with Early Espresso ink pad.
Color in with the lightest color, the Daffodil Delight ink pad, then accent with the Pumpkin Pie and Old Olive inks.  Follow along the lines of the stamped image for a natural look and shadowing.  I adore how easy the Aqua Painter makes water coloring - it's body is filled with water!  I can travel and create art and no mess... heaven for a mom of 6, lol.

I love the look of a rounded card, it stands out.  Using the Project Life Corner Punch to punch both the Whisper White and the folded and boned card.
Like a snow flake, a Fall leaf is not the same.  I love that additional shadow along the veins of these hand-stamped leaves.  Accented with the Watercolor Words stamped in the Pumpkin Pie ink.  Accent with a pretty adhesive backed Rhinestone Jewel in the center of the 'love'.

Here the difference in how I punch the corners is just another fun way to be unique with your paper crafting.

I love the colors and textures of Fall!  This card, from our recent Stamper's 10 Club, is a perfect use of the Happy Scenes stamp set in a new way while embracing Fall.

Create a pretty water colored look.  Stamping the Happy Scenes fall image on Whisper White card stock with Soft Suede ink.  Using the Aqua Painter color, carefully, as the Soft Suede ink will blend into the Crumb Cake and So Saffron as you paint it.  I really wanted the leaves and pumpkins to POP!  Using the Tangelo Twist Stampin' Write Marker (from the 2014-16 In Color collection) and color at the end for the more intense color.
Die Cut leaves.. is so much fun!  A twist on the Happy Scenes and adding the pretty paper of the Into the Woods Designer Series Paper.  Cascading leaves are perfect for Fall.  I love that this coordinates so well with this new Woodland Embossing Folder.  I adore the new Holiday Catalog!  My Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine does so much - from embossing to die-cutting for a more dynamic hand-crafted card.

I adore our Designer Series Paper that is doubly beautiful with coordinating images on each side of the pretty paper.

Take it up a notch.  Adding a dash of sparkle with our Gold Glimmer Paper is a fun accent for Fall.  The Wooden Elements* accents are so much fun!  The *picture above shows how fun and easy it is to color them in and change the look of them and your hand-crafted card.
Water colored and die-cut this rubber stamped image and the pretty paper really make for an easy but cool look.  Accented with this Celebrate the Season sentiment punched using the Washi Label punch - perfect for so many greetings on your paper crafting.

Created at a recent card making class, this Fall card is perfect to deliver a bit of the pretty season to those you love.  With pretty paper, cool texture and fun die-cuts this water colored card delivers so much in one pretty folded piece of card stock.  I love looking at stamps and die-cuts (or punches) in a new way.  Here the Happy Scenes is designed for the Window Framelits but looks amazing with this twist on this combination. Happy Fall Stamping!

Using the Old Olive and Chocolate Chip inks to stamp directly on the pretty Typeset Specialty Designer Series Paper.  This Sheltering Tree stamp set is ideal for all seasons!!  I adore it.  Trimmed out with matching card stocks, this is an easy way to create an elegant card.

Stamping the Chocolate Chip ink on the base of this card stock is a great cohesive look.  The pop of sun and color of the punched with the 1-1/4" Scallop Circle Punch in Daffodil Delight is a fun and whimsical punch-art accent to this hand-crafted card.

Let the journaling begin

I've been "stalking", lol, on-line a friend of mine, Melanie, who does art journaling.  Another friend, Jackie, I "stalk" on Facebook does Bible Journaling.  So recently I took a class that took me out of my comfort zone in art journaling.  I love how it dragged me, kicking and screaming, out of my comfort zone but brought it back when I incorporated my love of rubber stamping.  Vivid colors, art that is personal.. layers.. see the fun I had at this recent class.
I used these stamp sets on these art pages:
Watercolor Words (photopolymer 138702)
Heartfelt Sympathy (photopolymer 138764)
Black Archival ink pad (140931)

**  SHOP 24/7 with me while Earning BONUS Frequent Buyer Points!!   If you enjoy this project and want to have some fun crafting with me, CLICK HERE and RSVP ASAP for my Upcoming Classes!!  Most classes are FREE with a qualified purchase!!

Layers, layers and more layers... so my friend Melanie is an amazing mixed media art journalist.  I may enjoy it but I'm simpler in my art.  I followed her directions on each layer.  These jewel toned blues are definitely my favorite colors.  Creating this look with Silks Acrylic Glazes and paint brushes.  With stencils, the Silks paints, a texture paint (I can't remember the name, sorry) we added layer upon layer.

Out of my comfort zone.. oh yeah, completely!  I added each layer per her instruction and though it may have 'killed' me I actually like the results as a form of art.  Adding additional texture using our Heat Tool to set the paints and add bubbles was a fun and new-to-me use for my heat embossing tool.

I had to add my own touch.  Using the Watercolor Words stamp set and the Archival Black ink pad (which is great for Photopolymer stamp sets and non-porous surfaces, like this painted journal page) for some inspirational words.
Oh sigh... so after the process of layering on the blue page I found myself needing to do something more my style.  Jewel tones, focal points and this beautiful Heartfelt Sympathy stamp set and Black Archival ink pad.  I did find that having the blue page, it's layers and embellishments, on the other side of this second page made rubber stamping a challenge.  I love this inspirational quote on a card, it reminds me of our Project Life cards that I use in Memory Documenting.  I am so excited to find a new use for these great cards!!

I love teaching card making and paper crafting.  I'm also branching out into Bible Journaling in my 'spare' time.  My heart yearns for a deeper, more tangible connection with The Lord's Word.  (Look for my journey in my Journaling posts coming up.  Here is my first!)  I love that art is personal.  Created for myself and not others.  This took me out of my comfort zone.  I'm glad to have experienced this, to have grown a little and to have actually enjoyed this experience.  Join Us in creating art, in the form of hand-stamped cards.  I'll also be offering Bible and Art Journaling times coming up - not classes, more like times to connect over art and God's Word.

What Others are SAYING about Gettin' Crafty Stampin'...

Jamie is so passionate and creative about making cards - and wants everyone else to join her in the fun! She is so encouraging and positive in her attitude, helping me along when I get frustrated - and then rejoicing with me at the finished product! I love going to her classes to get new ideas, learn techniques, and have loads of fun in the process. ~ Christine C.

Jamie has wicked awesome classes! If you don’t like a particular stamp or paper/ink color Jamie wants you to change it to suit your style! I did my sister-in-law’s entire bridal shower from invitations/thank you cards, party favors to decorations, it was quaint and whimsical! Everyone ooh’d and ahh’d! I’ve had lots of special requests for classes and Jamie delivers; she always has tasty treats and flavored coffees too ~Ashley W.

I have been attending Jamie's classes for over a year. Her ideas for cards are fresh and fun. She always tries to have several different styles of cards available, so everyone gets to make cards that fit their personal style. The techniques she shows each class can be used in many different applications. She is very patient teacher when instructing class members on how to use the Stampin Up products. ~ Carol D.

If I looked up the word sparkle in the dictionary, I would find Jamie Albanese picture there. I have had the sweet blessing of knowing Jamie and her family for over 5 years now. Every time I am with her I feel loved and inspired. When I am in one of her classes I feel my creative juices flow, as she encourages me to go outside my comfort zone. Jamie helped our girl scout troop make cards for a soldier who needed some encouragement!!! For any of you who have not been in one of Jamie's classes, please don't let another day slip by. She is a beautiful friend and she will become yours too. ~ Blessings, Karen:-)

Jamie has a great eye for style and flair, and it shows in her work. Yet she can pick up on your own individual style and makes great recommendations. I love that she is always flexible for last-minute decision maker mommies like me! So much fun to host craft events with your friends and family - that personal touch always means so much. ~ Adonna
