Rich Birthday Wishes

Today is my older sister's birthday! I really mulled this card over as I wanted it to be just right, not too bright it loud, rich in look and color but not with too much "In your face" bling. (I wanted it to be warm, elegant and refined ~ just like she is!)

I started with Cherry Cobbler, Daffodil Delight and Early Espresso papers. I used our Flower Garden folder with the Big Shot. The Cherry Cobbler is our new Core papers in our Holiday Mini. Once embossing the flowered image I sanded the top to have it be more vintage, softer and evident.

I thought the flowers with the Everything Eleanor stamp set coordinated more with this embossing folder. I stamped them with Cherry Cobbler ink on Daffodil Delight cardstock. I cut them out with our precision Paper Snips, easy peasy!

I then heat embossed, with Gold powder, the lovely frame from Papaya Collage's stamp set. I cut the opening with our snips and opened the frame to stamp Happy Birthday from the stamp set Bring on the Cake. (heat embossing it with Gold Power).

I edged the Cherry Cobbler paper with Versa Mark and embossed Gold around the edges, with little bits gilding the front of the card.

I layered this Cherry Cobbler, embossed two ways card as a front on our Early Espresso card base using Stampin' Dimensional adhesive to really create the frame look n feel. The Gold Happy Birthday is embossed on the Early Espresso paper, viewable through this new golden frame.

I did break down the sentiment so it wouldn't be too crowded as you can see. The words are now on top of one another.

Our new Gold Pen, from the Holiday mini, allowed for us to easily write our wishes on the inside of the card! Looks elegant too!

I layered those flowers in and out of the frame creating a more 3D image, vintage and elegant, warm and refined... It's just like my sister! I did Smooch Spritz it with Gold spray to add a some subtle gold to the all over card with out overtaking the Vintage feel. She isn't an in-your-face kinda girl but worth her weight in gold!

I hope you enjoy celebrating this day with me... Raise your glass in honor of a warm, loving, mom, wife and woman of God with me!

Jamie is so passionate and creative about making cards - and wants everyone else to join her in the fun! She is so encouraging and positive in her attitude, helping me along when I get frustrated - and then rejoicing with me at the finished product! I love going to her classes to get new ideas, learn techniques, and have loads of fun in the process. ~ Christine C.

Jamie has wicked awesome classes! If you don’t like a particular stamp or paper/ink color Jamie wants you to change it to suit your style! I did my sister-in-law’s entire bridal shower from invitations/thank you cards, party favors to decorations, it was quaint and whimsical! Everyone ooh’d and ahh’d! I’ve had lots of special requests for classes and Jamie delivers; she always has tasty treats and flavored coffees too ~Ashley W.

I have been attending Jamie's classes for over a year. Her ideas for cards are fresh and fun. She always tries to have several different styles of cards available, so everyone gets to make cards that fit their personal style. The techniques she shows each class can be used in many different applications. She is very patient teacher when instructing class members on how to use the Stampin Up products. ~ Carol D.

If I looked up the word sparkle in the dictionary, I would find Jamie Albanese picture there. I have had the sweet blessing of knowing Jamie and her family for over 5 years now. Every time I am with her I feel loved and inspired. When I am in one of her classes I feel my creative juices flow, as she encourages me to go outside my comfort zone. Jamie helped our girl scout troop make cards for a soldier who needed some encouragement!!! For any of you who have not been in one of Jamie's classes, please don't let another day slip by. She is a beautiful friend and she will become yours too. ~ Blessings, Karen:-)

Jamie has a great eye for style and flair, and it shows in her work. Yet she can pick up on your own individual style and makes great recommendations.
